Fresh Air Makes Everything Better

10/6/2024

There’s just something about a change in the weather that can lift your spirits and make everything feel right again. Yesterday, Iowa was sweltering at 91 degrees, but today? A perfect 71 degrees with a gentle breeze that felt like a breath of fresh air in every way.
It’s incredible how much a simple shift in temperature can impact your mood. The cooler air today was a welcome relief, and it reminded me of how important it is to appreciate the little things, like a comfortable, crisp breeze or the feeling of the sun without the oppressive heat.
Fresh air has a way of clearing your mind, calming your thoughts, and making everything feel a bit more manageable. It’s like nature’s reset button. Whether you’re taking a walk, sitting outside, or just breathing in the change, it’s the kind of moment that reminds you to slow down and enjoy the day.
Here’s to more days of perfect weather, and to taking the time to soak in the simple joys that a cool breeze and fresh air bring!

    About Me

Erin is a green-haired, tattoo-covered mama powered by sarcasm, iced coffee, and the occasional emotional spiral.

She’s raising an incredible son with a rare genetic condition, advocating with sharp knowledge and a softer heart — because both matter.

She's trying not to lose her mind in a house that includes her husband, her son, her mother, a team of no less than five workers, and approximately 3,000 daily interruptions.

She’s got a sixth sense for fake people, a deep love for horror movies, and a soft spot for anyone who’s ever felt like too much and not enough at the same time.

Erin doesn’t pretend life is perfect. She shows up messy, honest, and real—whether she’s in advocacy mode, snack-fetching mode, or “why is everything a mess” mode.

She’s built of grit, wit, compassion, and just enough rage to get things done.
